  • Overview

When you hear PsA outcome measures, you may instantly think of physician-centered ones, such as assessing disease activity for inflammatory joint disease, skin manifestations, and extra-articular features. While these outcome measures are certainly important, they’re starting to be examined in light of new patient-focused measures like satisfaction with symptom control.

Since this particular measure has a direct impact on a patient’s willingness to accept recommended treatment changes and their quality of life, Dr. Matt Birnholz is joined by Dr. Jeffrey Curtis, Harbert Ball Professor of Medicine in the Division of Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, to uncover patient dissatisfaction with symptom control.

  • Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest

In accordance with the ACCME Standards for Commercial Support, The Omnia-Prova Education Collaborative (TOPEC) requires that individuals in a position to control the content of an educational activity disclose all relevant financial relationships with any commercial interest. TOPEC resolves all conflicts of interest to ensure independence, objectivity, balance, and scientific rigor in all its educational programs.
