  • Overview

    Disorders like hemophilia and sickle cell disease are challenging for hematologists to manage, but even more so for nonspecialized clinicians who encounter affected patients, such as in the emergency department. Since patients with these rare blood disorders often present to the emergency department for complications associated with their disease, this panel discussion will highlight these real-world situations, as well as how to utilize available evidence and clinical practice guidelines to select the best treatment approach.
