  • Overview

    Obesity is a chronic, progressive disease, and in 2022, it affected nearly half of all adults worldwide, making it a global health crisis. This reinforces the importance of having sufficient, appropriate strategies available for healthcare professionals so they can optimize patient outcomes. Our series of micro learning activities will provide tips and tools for the implementation of key obesity interventions, including nutritional, physical, behavioral, and pharmacological approaches. Partner with your patients and recognize the importance of treating obesity like any other chronic condition.

    • Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive obesity care 
    • Utilize effective shared decision-making strategies to answer patient questions and collaboratively develop personalized management plans for patients with obesity, considering their individual needs, preferences, and values 
  • Target Audience

    This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of primary care physicians and endocrinologists as well as all other physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, and healthcare providers involved in managing patients with obesity.
