Dr. Connolly’s specializes in a wide range of neurosurgical conditions with a focus on intracranial and spine disorders. His research focuses on surgical quality, teambuilding and cultivationof high reliability principles in healthcare organizations. He has numerous distinctions and publications in the fields of neurosurgery and ophthalmology.
As a member of Penn Neurosurgery, Dr. Connolly provides neurosurgical options and access to other Penn specialists – connecting patients to the most innovative surgical and non-surgical treatments for aneurysms, brain tumors and other conditions. This includes access to innovative technologies such as proton therapy, Gamma Knife®, CyberKnife® and advanced endovascular treatments.
Dr. Connolly received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Neurosurgery at Indiana University and fellowship in movement disorders and epilepsy at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He is board certified in neurosurgery and neurocritical care.
