Sarah E. Domoff, PhD
Sarah E. Domoff, PhD directs the Family Health Lab at Central Michigan University (CMU) and is Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology. She studies how children, adolescents, and parents use mobile technology, as well as the potential impact of such use on child health and development. She and her collaborators developed the first measure of problematic media use in children, which has been validated in children ages 4-13 years. Her clinic at the Center for Children, Families, and Communities at CMU is the first of its kind in the Midwest: she and her doctoral trainees conduct psychological assessments of children demonstrating problematic media and mobile phone use, and provide treatment to youth and families on reducing excessive screen media use. More information about her research, clinic, and training for clinicians can be found at www.sarahdomoff.com, or you can reach her via at domof1se@cmich.edu.
