  • Overview

    Three different sodium oxybate formulations are available for the management of narcolepsy with/without cataplexy. Each is efficacious, but differences such as dosing requires shared decision making between patient and clinician. Join Drs. Kushida and Thorpy as they provide insight into making the right treatment decision for each patient, one that ensures patient preferences are considered.

    • Explain patient and clinician preferences for the three oxybate formulations based on product attributes.
    • Identify the criteria by which patients and clinicians can communicate about goals of treatment and negotiate decisions as to the therapeutic management approach.
